Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a dynamic treatment that is designed to relieve chronic muscle tension and integrate body and mind through applying specific techniques to the neuro-muscular tissues.

Chronic muscle tension, as a result of either, physical, mental or emotional trauma, often leads to adhesions in the muscle tissue that can hinder circulation, mobility and cause inflammation and pain.

When muscle cells are stressed they are unable to metabolize efficiently, which can cause a build-up of waste and toxic materials in the body affecting both physical and mental functioning. When these byproducts remain in the tissues, they can contribute to spasms in the muscles and nerves and hamper essential nutrients reaching the component cells.

Deep tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, release toxins and deeply held patterns of tension from muscles, and get blood and oxygen circulating properly.

This treatment is both corrective and therapeutic, and is often associated with inhibiting mind-body integration, helping overcome stress and fatigue, eradicating muscular pain and promoting strength and tone of the nervous and muscular systems by nourishing the body and mind.
